The Run leg begins at the Mission Ridge Ski Area parking lot and ends in Squilchuck State Park. It is approximately 4 ? miles of moderate to moderately steep downhill running on an asphalt road, ending with a 1/4 mile of uphill running through varied terrain.
There is a water station in the Mission Ridge parking lot, two water aid stations located on the road and an aid station at Squilchuck State Park in the parking lot.
Mission Ridge Road is not closed to traffic during the race. Runners are required to stay on the right side of the road, and cars traveling downhill will travel on the left side of the road from the Mission Ridge parking lot to Squilchuck State Park. Runners must be alert to the traffic for their own safety. Zigzagging lanes or cutting corners during the run is prohibited. A 30-second penalty will be assessed for each occurrence when runners fail to stay in the right lane during their leg.
Runners will wear one number on their front. Portagers and sprinters are required to wear a race number in Riverfront Park. Save your race number, because you will need it to access the fruit and cookie aid station in the finish area. The race number must be visible at all times.
RUNNERS: You will transfer the wristband to the bicyclist after entering the exchange zone at Squilchuck State Park. To avoid scoring errors, exit the exchange zone immediately after the transfer and do not re-enter the exchange zone again on race day. Thank you.
